A trained crew means effective sorties: how Pegasus Arms 25 drone operators are prepared

Learning to fly a drone isn’t difficult. What’s difficult is learning to fly in a way that ensures the number of takeoffs equals the number of landings—and that every sortie delivers results. That’s exactly what trainees are taught at HTEC MIST, a private training center that prepares pilots for heavy bomber drones such as the Pegasus Arms 25.

Becoming a certified heavy-drone pilot takes three weeks. During this time, the crew completes a comprehensive training program that includes:

▪️ 48 academic hours of theory and practical training;

▪️ 48 hours of flight training;

▪️ operating PEGASUS ARMS 25 strike UAVs with various types of payloads;

▪️ executing combat missions and operating in challenging weather conditions;

▪️ countering enemy drones and employing EW/ELINT and anti-drone systems.

Journalists from the ICTV “Fakty” program covered the training process in the following report:

How to Become a Drone Operator for Free and with a Guarantee

When our company developed the heavy strike complex Pegasus Arms 25, we faced an obvious question: who will pilot it? There is a critical shortage of qualified crews for heavy multirotors on the front lines.

Meanwhile, thousands of people search online daily on how to become a drone operator, hoping to join aerial reconnaissance after mobilization. Most of them make a fatal mistake—they wait, assuming the "army will teach them everything." However, the reality is different: if you arrive without a confirmed profession, you are assigned where there is the greatest shortage of personnel. Most often, this is regular infantry, not the control panel of a high-tech UAV.

If you are looking for a way to guarantee becoming a drone operator, there is only one solution: obtain a state certificate and a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) before the system decides for you.
